Canadian Viagra, the equivalent for men, was approved for sale back in 1998 by the FDA but the scientific world has been lagging when it comes to a similar medication for women. When a woman becomes sexually aroused, emotional and physical cues in the brain tell the body to increase blood flow to the genitals; this relaxes the vagina, improves lubrication and increases sensation,” said lead researcher Chris Wayman.

Not meant to initiate desire, the drug is intended to boost the flow of blood during a situation where arousal has already occurred, allowing for a greater chance of orgasm.

“Medical giant Company” still has much development work to do to come up with a workable drug, and years of drug trials will no doubt keep a female Viagra out of the market for the foreseeable future.

That’s the number one question that I get from my patients. And it sounds like a simple question, too. But it’s not so simple to answer. There’s no way I can tell you how often you “should” have sex—that depends on so many things, such as your age and health and a host of other things. But I can tell you what I wrote in my book Size Matters about research on how often people actually have sex.
